A showreel edit for Berlin-based actor, musician, and model Stephen Thompson, built around his performance credits including the Lionsgate feature Exposed (2016), directed by Gee Malik Linton and starring Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas.

Editorial Approach

The reel was assembled from multiple source formats – tape, video files, and DVD – each requiring conforming to a unified look and tonality before a single cut could be made. The priority was Thompson’s acting range, so the running order was built around performance rather than chronology, with the strongest material placed to land the biggest impression in the shortest time.

Post Production

The centrepiece of the reel draws from Thompson’s scenes in Exposed, which were split between the opening and closing acts of the feature. I recut the footage and built a new sound mix to bring both sequences together into a single, coherent scene that maximises his screen time.

The grade was kept light — just enough to unify the different source materials into a seamless flow. The final reel was delivered in multiple formats for distribution across casting platforms and direct submissions.
