Overview
À La Porte is a French-language short drama directed by Armin Mobasseri, co-written with Mark Esper. An 18-year-old woman arrives at a stranger’s door in rural Normandy, armed with a clipboard and a college survey. What unfolds is something far more personal. A confrontation years in the making, whose outcome none of the characters expect, arrives on an unsuspecting couple’s doorstep.
Production
The film was shot at the Off-Courts short film festival in Trouville-sur-Mer, Northern France, in September 2023. I co-wrote the screenplay with Mobasseri, delivering the latest draft overnight ahead of the first day of production.
Post Production
After the festival premiere, I colour graded the film for its wider festival run. I also coordinated the English subtitles for international submission.
